Underground coiling process
There are two main functions of underground hot coiling: controlling the outlet tension of rolling mill and taking strip coiling into coiling. Take the three-roller underground coiler shown in figure 12-1 as an example to illustrate the coiling process.
When the strip head leaves the finishing mill, the coiler is ready to work. At this point, the upper tension roller pressure down, coiling roll holding coils. Under the control of the adjustment mechanism of the gap between the tension roller and the coiling roller, the gap between the upper and lower tension roller and between the coiling roller and the roller is maintained in accordance with the thickness of the strip. When the strip enters the coiler, the lead ruler of the tension roller is correctly guided. With the guide plate device, the line between the tension roller and the reel is closed, so that the strip can be smoothly rolled onto the reel.
When the end of the coiler is about to leave the rolling mill, the coiler is in the roll state. The rolling mill and the coiler reduce speed at the same time. When the strip is separated from the last stand mill, the tension roller compacts, and the drive motor is in the state of power generation, which enables the strip to establish tension between the tension roller and the reel, avoiding off-tracking or loose outer layer. The roller is opened when unrolling, and the trolley is lifted to hold the coil. After the coil is shrunk, the coil can be moved out. After that, the coiler returned to the state of preparation.
